Seminar Description

"Healing from the Inside Out"

This is an idea you cannot refute.  All serious health problems begin from within: digestion, circulation, or elimination.  Learn key signals of troubles brewing.  Then explore major steps you can take to heal, including dietary, herbs, exercises and more.

“Secrets of Self Healing: Self Diagnosis”

In this one day seminar we will learn to assess and interpret bodily messages such as aches, pains, problems and symptoms.  We will learn natural healing methods for these imbalances that actually address their cause rather than simply suppressing the symptoms.

This seminar offers understanding of what creates imbalances and symptoms.   We will view health issues from the perspective of oriental healing using simple yin-yang tools.  Michael Rossoff will clarify the yin-yang nature of the organs and their energy pathways.

We will cover the following health issues:

  • Digestive Disorders: stomach pain, ulcer, heartburn, nausea, indigestion, bloating, gas, constipation and diarrhea

  • Respiratory Disorders: Cough, phlegm, shallow breathing, nose bleeds, asthma, sinus congestion

  • Urinary Disorders: Burning urination, incontinence, kidney stones

  • Neurological and Pain Related Disorders: Headaches, ringing in the ears; neck, shoulder and back pains; numbness, dizziness

Michael will teach general and medicinal dietary information plus key acupressure points for relieving many of these symptoms with some  simple, at-home treatments.

You will leave this seminar with clear knowledge and understanding, and practical ways to improve and resolve your health.

“Women’s Health: A Key to Harmony & Happiness”

The goal of this one day seminar is to reveal and confirm how women's wellbeing is their natural birthright.

Younger women can gain important knowledge of how to prepare for and look forward to later years.  More mature women will understand and appreciate their evolution more completely for both present and future years.  Both will learn powerful ways to rebalance and secure personal health.

Topics:

Blood and Qi (Chi or Ki)

Our human existence depends on blood and qi.  Women are dominated more by       blood, and men are dominated more by qi.  We will explore the meaning of this for a woman.

Form and Function: Western and Eastern Anatomy

We will review reproductive anatomy briefly, followed by how Oriental healing understands the energetics of these same systems.

From Childhood to Post-Menopause

In the medical classics of the Orient, women have a seven year cycle.  We will follow a normal lifetime based on these fascinating cycles, and their potentials for wellness and aging.

Major Health Problems: Causes and Healing

We will study key health problems of women such as common menstrual difficulties, menopause and post-menopause issues.  We will cover other problems briefly, for example, breast cysts, fibroid tumors and cervical dysplasia.  The special needs during  pregnancy will be discussed.  Further, the area of cancer will be looked at in passing.

Food for Daily Wellbeing: Food for Healing

Food is central to your approach to health.  We will explore choices you make in your daily eating and ways to improve habits and selection of foods.  As time allows we can discuss which foods are more appropriate at different phases of a woman's life.

Emotional Balance, Power of Mind and Spirit in Healing

Emotional wellbeing can be the gateway for spiritual harmony.  Appreciate the connections between mind-body and spirit-body natures: the mind as healer and the spirit as savior.

Aging and the Age of Wisdom

How to age gracefully and healthfully? This is the art of longevity.  And, finally, there can be the blessing of a natural passing.

Transportation Options To The Village Green

Bus:

Bus routes 6, 13, 18, or 20 to Jaffa Road from the east; HaNeviim Street from the west.  Light rail construction has reduced traffic on Jaffa Road to one lane westbound in the area of the restaurant.

Parking:

Free off street parking is available downtown at the Russian compound (Migrash HaRussim) across the street from the entrance to the Jerusalem District Court on Cheshin Street.   It is a very extensive and overcrowded lot that probably fills up early, but is definitely worth trying.  There is no supervision in the lot.  Other off street parking is very expensive for a full day.  Two small lots, one on Heleni HaMalka Street, and the other at 5 Gruzenberg Street cost 50 NIS for the day, but most other lots and garages are between 70 and 75 NIS per day.  Parking outside the downton area and taking a taxi to the Village Green may be a better choice particularly in view of the traffic pattern disruptions caused by the light rail construction on Jaffa Road.
